The 12th Shanghai Biennale: Proregress
Born 1965 in Hyogo, Japan, lives and works in London.
Yoneda continues making work examining the memories and history associated with places and events. With “Dialogue with Albert Camus” presented at the Shanghai Biennale, her latest work reflects and evokes the present and past through the imagery connected with where the author of The Stranger lived. Her other notable series of works include “Scene” which focuses on landscapes of turbulent historic locations; and “Between visible and invisible”, which presents as motifs, eye glasses of major intellectual figures of the 20th century.
